International Institute of Peace Studies (IIPS) is offering the three week course from 21st January to 10th February, 2014 in Bangkok. The target groups of the course are Young (female and male) leaders, scholars, teachers, post graduate students, NGO and social workers, and anyone else with a keen interest in approaching peacebuilding creatively. Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation, Bangkok, 2014.
This course aims to get an understanding and dimension of peace and conflict. As a student/professional you will gain and build up knowledge and skills in promoting peace. The course includes various sessions on relevant issues from well know speakers throughout the world and exposure visit. The pedagogical mission of this Peace Education is the movement from a culture of distrust and violence toward a culture of Peace.
This course offers space for interfaith inter-cultural orientation, gender perspective and respect for differences of opinion and helps to develop a common ground for collective peace actions. It also aims to facilitate collective learning process about understanding of the causes of conflict, ways and means to transform conflict and build sustainable peace and to strengthen “Youth for Peace Net-work”
