Lions International Peace Poster Contest on the Theme “Share Peace”
Lions Club of Imphal Greater have organised two International Level Peace Poster Contest on the Theme “Share Peace”. at Sacred Heart Hr Sec., School and JNV Yaralpat Imphal
East. The Peace Poster Contest is an International Event as the winners from the two Peace Poster Contest will be forwarded for District Level Competition.
The Winner from the district level will be eligible for further competition in Multiple level and then South Asia, Africa & Middle East (ISAAME) and then International Level.
The Peace Poster is an Annual International Competition being organised by the Association of Lions Clubs all over the world in the age group of 11-13. The Peace Poster Contest was created in 1988 to give young people the opportunity to creatively express their feelings for world peace and to share their visions with the world. Approximately 400,000 children from 75 countries participate in the contest annually.

At the Sacred Heart Hr. Sec. School altogether 29 students from the Sacred Heart Hr. Sec. School, JNV Khumbong and Sishu Nistha Niketan participated and Maleshori Sarungbam a student JNV Khumbong VIII won the 1st Prize, Melamnganba Waikhom ClassVIII Shishu Nishtha Niketan bag the 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize goes to Ningthoujam Athoi Singh of Sacred Heart Hr. Sec. School.
22 students participated in the 2nd Peace Poster Contest held at the JNV Yaralpat and Laiphrakpam Rohit, Ningthoujam Nandita and S. Deepa bag the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectably.
All the Winners are given a cash prize of Rs. 1500, Rs. 1000 for Runners up and Rs 750 for the 3rd position along with certificates which were distributed at the competition venues.
The two winning Poster will be forwarded for further district level Competition.
