Paradox
Praveen Pukhrambam *
Feeling the sudden droplets of rain caressing my cheeks
Inspires a quick sense of relief from this summer heat
The heavier and intense the rainfall gets on my way back from work
The more I get drenched and worry about getting cold the next day
Rays of the scorching Sun do we seek hopefully in a secretive way
The moment monsoon persist arrogantly with no signs of retreat
Realization of someone or something happens to be a weird phenomenon
When it occurs, the moment in its very absence beyond reach
Would 'naivety' or 'ignorance' or any other lexicon impart this paradoxical reasoning
Of unknowing in its presence and knowing in its absence?
