CANDLE LIGHT SERVICE
FOR NAGA VICTIMS AND PRAYER FOR PEACE
In solidarity with the Naga victims who was shot dead by the Manipur Government forces, for those more then hundreds who were injured and for peace the in Nagalim, the Naga Students of Delhi, in collaboration with Naga churches and fellowships in Delhi is organizing a candle light service at India Gate on 9 May 2010 from 7 to 8 p.m.
We, the Nagas request all the media’s, civil organizations and individuals to be a part of it, come together to show our solidarity and oppose the mass human rights violation that is being carried out.
The service will be led by Rev. Rocky Angumei, Pastor of University Evangelical Fellowship. Invocation prayer will be done by Pastor David Shou, Poumai Baptist Church, Delhi.
Short speeches will be made by the President of the Naga Hoho, Member of Parliament, Nagaland, and the recently resigned MLAs of Manipur.
There will be a lighting of the candle by the President of the Naga Hoho, followed by hymns (songs). The one-hour candle light service will end with a benediction prayer by Rev. Dr. Alem, the Pastor of Ao Baptist Church, Delhi.
