PG course on Northeast in Jamia Millia next year

A full-fledged post-graduate course on the Northeast is expected to be introduced in Jamia Millia Islamia University from next year while an "optional paper" on the subject will start from August. The decision was taken at a meeting between DoNER minister Jitendra Singh and university vice-chancellor Prof. Talat Ahmad, an official communique from New Delhi stated.
As a precursor to the full-fledged course, it was agreed that an optional paper on northeastern studies would be introduced from August for students undertaking the examination at the master's degree level in the university.
