Open Letter to Chief Minister of Manipur
Delhi , 04th June 2020
An Open Letter to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur Shri N. Biren Singh.
Greetings from Delhi!
Naga Students Union Delhi (NSUD) wants to bring attention to your kind office regarding “extreme delay” in giving rightful promotion to one of Naga’s most respected IPS Faumei Gonglin.
Through many newspaper reports, it has come to our notice that the illegal blocking of promotion is causing great personal and professional damage to the Officer who otherwise is known for his integrity and efficiency in the Police Department of the Manipur State.
Having graduated from prestigious St.Stephen’s College, Delhi University, Shri Faumei Gonglin got through Manipur Police Service (MPS) in 1991. He served the State Police Department in various capacities such as SP Vigilance, SP in hill districts of Ukhrul, Kamjong, Senapati and Tamenglong etc.
While NSUD appreciate the efforts of many policies of the present State Chief Minister, the Student Body appeals sincerely that justice is done to Shri Faumei Gonglin, IPS at the earliest by doing necessary which is long overdue.
NSUD believes in social equality, justice and brotherhood and the body is disturbed by the news that the Naga Officer’s plea has been suppressed this long. We stand in solidarity with all the Organisations and Bodies who have already expressed their concern on the issue.
NSUD therefore pray that all promotion related issue of Shri Faumei Gonglin, IPS is taken up on “Most Priority Basis” by the Hon’ble Chief Minister so that he can start a new phase of life and career.
Looking forward to your immediate intervention.
Yours Sincerely,
(Hinoto P Aomi)
President
(Isaac Charenamei)
General Secretary
