Only one final accord on Naga political issue: Ravi
Assam Tribune | R Dutta Choudhury | Guwahati, Nov 7
There will only be one final accord for the solution of the Naga political issue and the Government of India is not keen on signing separate accords with different groups. This was disclosed by the Centre’s interlocutor for Naga talks, RN Ravi.
The Government of India has “almost reached” an agreement with the NSCN (I-M) on political issues and the administrative issues are now being discussed. The Government has made it clear that there would not be any disturbance of the geographical boundaries of the States. However, the Naga people living in other States may be given some rights and discussions are on with the concerned State Governments in this regard as the Government of India is not willing to impose any decision on any State.
