TODAY -
On an autumn night
Kshetrimayum Momo *
Cruel November shreds the marigold petals,
Heartless, as is the autumn;
The great kings, of times bygone,
look down upon the scary night below;
Mighty empires crushed by the devil's trident,
lay scattered in the dark depths.
Oh! the sleep that I so cherished,
betrothed to peaceful dreams,
becomes a nightmare.
I set to sail on the seas high,
in search of a treasure, hidden
in the depths of conscience.
My hand dances in the memories of a million vanished stars
A man has every place to lay his head.
