Sanasam Indibhushan Singh, Principal of Don Bosco High School, Imphal
On Monday, the 30th of June, 2014, Sanasam Indibhushan Singh, retired as the Principal of Don Bosco High School, Imphal after having a distinguished service of 39 years.
Oja Indi, as he is lovingly called by students and colleagues, was given a warm and emotional farewell in a simple party at the school attended by students, teachers, administrators, family members as well as all the staff members who recalled fond memories of having worked with oja Indi and paid rich tributes for his contributions towards making the school one of the foremost temples of learning of the region.
Oja Indi, in his long association with the school, first as a teacher and later on as an administrator, helped shaped the lives of thousands of students and also oversee the difficult times that the school underwent.
Many of his students, who today are very well settled and are doing excellent work in all corners of the globe attribute their success to the sheer dedication, commitment and intellectual acumen of the noble soul.
Today, as oja Indi completes an innings and looks at life from a different perspective, the DBS Alumni Association, which is an association of all the past students of the school scattered around the world, but united by the school, stands solidly behind their beloved oja, to give a final salute of gratitude for shaping their lives and committing to help make a difference, wherever and whenever needed.
