- Noise ban in front of schools & hospitals

In an attempt to reduce noise pollution, the Nongthombam Biren Singh government in Manipur has declared certain road stretches in the Imphal municipality area, besides schools, colleges and hospitals in the state, "no-horn" zones.
Official sources said transport director H. Rosita had issued an order on Thursday, declaring certain junctions, areas and important road stretches of Imphal as no-horn zones under Central Motor Vehicle (Second Amendment) Rules, 2016.
