Ningol Chakouba at Pune on 10th November 2019
The Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND) Pune, which is a registered nonprofit, non-government community organization founded by working/ retired Manipuri professionals residing in and around Pune, organized the most important & unique age old traditional ‘Ningol Chakouba’ with its firm objective to foster the spirit of unity, harmony and goodwill amongst the brothers & sisters on Sunday, the 10th November 2019 at the premises of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Koregaon Park, Pune.
The festival not only signifies the age old socio-cultural festival but also strengthens the filial bond of love & affection among brothers and sisters, parents and daughters and friends.
More than 350 individuals comprising of around 90 mous (married ladies), 60 leisabis (single ladies) and others attended the program with great enthusiasm. Manipuri families of different communities from Pune city & surrounding cities like Mumbai, Kolhapur, etc.

The Ningols came with 'athenpot' on their best Manipuri traditional attire. Everyone rejoiced the gathering and appreciated the fun filled event to this ‘home far away from home’.
AMAND, Pune organized this event with delicious mega feast prepared by its own volunteered members and executives. The event was highly appreciated by the participants of all age groups. All the sisters, mothers, boys & girls were given invaluable gifts by AMAND at the end of the program. The audiences were entertained with various activities like tambola, selfie contest, etc.
AMAND Pune highly acknowledged the overall program coordinator, Dr Huidrom Narendra Singh and Er Naorem Giridhar Singh, along with all the volunteers for successfully implementing the program.
