Ningol Chakouba
Dr. Romio Khangemba *
Heralding of autumn month "Mera",
The hues of Golden sky with blossoming of Marie Gold,
Shining like gems in the sky.
Subdued smile on the lips of 'Ningol"
Awaiting with the feel of new spring month,
With emotions overflowing just for the moment to meet long awaited
"Ningol Chakouba".
Fragrance of "Mera tha" in every Conner and homely courtyard,
Signifying the relationship of hill and valley
With the light shining at night on a pole.
Hiding the tears of brother,
Tolerating the test of time, bearing the pain and
Yet standing tall for my sisters.
Will there be forgiveness from the soul that has passed away,
And my withering mother, cause as a son,
Have I caught the vicious cycle of "Karma"?
I have not committed anything wrong,
Yet have to face test of time with crossing fingers,
Humble accept the little that I gave,
With heart dear sisters without any qualm.
