SHRI NGAMKHOLEN HAOKIP : Akademi Award: Fine Arts
Born in 1982, Shri Ngamkhoien Haokip of Mouljol Village, Chandel District is a talented artist with a strong academic inclination.
Currently pursuing Ph.D. in Department of Visual Art, Assam University, Silchar, he has completed BFA in Sculpture from Imphal Art College, Imphal, and MFA in Sculpture from University of Delhi.
A gifted artist, Shri Haokip's forte lies in sculpture, an area in which he has acquired a certain level or mastery.
Many of his artworks, including sculptures, have been showcased at several art exhibitions organised by reputed institutions including Manipur State Kala Akademi, Irnphal and College of Art, New Delhi.
He has also participated in art conferences, seminars, and workshops held in various parts of the country.
Besides these accomplishments, a few of his monographs have been published in periodicals and on the Web.
For his notable contributions in the field of fine arts and for his sculpture in bronze entitled Traditional Tune', Shri Ngamkhoien Haokip is bestowed with Manipur State Kala Akademi Award.
