New Govt policy on North East militants likely

Government of India is “seriously examining” the policy for dealing with militants in North East region and there is possibility of shift in the existing policy soon.
Highly placed sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) told The Assam Tribune that there is thinking in the Centre that the existing policy of dealing with militancy in the North East is not yielding the desired results and there is need for amending it.
