'Name'
Smeared *
What's in a "name" I say,
When it can make anyone a pretty flower,
Or maneuver to a sacrosanct marina;
Lend a helping help to sway reality.
A lazy, a fine fellow!
He calls himself a candid leader, all to his name.
A faithful partner, he pretends
When one wonders how a peculiar soul with a gigantic belly,
calls himself 'Slim Teddy'.
Name do marvels, don't you say
With Liars becoming Saints through a 'Name'
Goody, a rapist wears an amiable mask
with the help of his name.
Father Christopher still stands as the sacred water of the holy church
In spite of many accounts he rather not divulge.
Then what's in a 'Name', I say
An enigma for many it still stands.
A refuge for people who hide behind the dub call name,
A retreat for them who do not want to be who they are
A way out for some who want to be
what they are not.
Lets try to be true to our names, some say.
And we end up becoming the names
Then who we are in real!
