NSUD Executive Council for the year 2011-2012

The Election Commission of the Naga Students' Union, Delhi (NSUD), having successfully fulfilled its constitutionally-mandated responsibility is pleased to announce that the following have been elected to the NSUD EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (2011-2012).
Boveio Poukai Duo (President);
Seve Vadeo (Vice-President);
Jerry Tsanglao (Gen. Secy);
Leiyaza Hushu Wunga (Asst. Gen. Secy);
Ch. Chawangbo (Soc. & Cult. Secy);
Willingson Tongsin (Games & Sport Secy).
The election which took place on 26 March 2011 at Civil Lines, New Delhi, saw many Nagas enthusiastically taking part in it. As part of the Polling Day Programme, each of the two presidential candidates delivered speeches to sway the public in his favour.
This was followed by Question Hour when participants were allowed to put forward questions to the candidates. Once polling took place and votes were counted, the results were announced by Miss Mego Sakhrie (member, Election Commission).
The Oath of Office was administered to the successful candidates by Mr. Peter Ki (Chairman, Election Commission). The blessing of the new Executive Council was given by Rev. Mathanmi Zimik. Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Kajichew Pfuze (member, Election Commission).
The Election Commission hereby expresses its happiness in the mature conduct of the Nagas during the election process. The candidates as well as the participants re-affirmed their faith in the democratic process.
