NSCN (R) offers cease-fire with GoI: CFSB chairman
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Apr 14
Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB) chairman Lt Gen (Rtd) N. K. Singh Tuesday said the recently formed NSCN (Reformation) led by Wangtin Naga and P. Tikhak has forwarded a cease fire proposal to him April 13. In a press release, CFSB chairman said this proposal contained an offer from the NSCN (R) to enter into a fresh cease fire agreement with government of India.
According to Lt. Gen. (Rtd) N.K. Singh, the proposal stated that “after the unilateral abrogation of cease fire by S.S. Khaplang and expulsion of Wangtin Naga and P. Tikhak for attending the CFSB meeting at Chumukedima on March 27, the NSCN (K) split vertically into two on the issue of continuation of cease fire, namely anti-cease fire and pro cease fire groups.”
