NPMHR's presentation on Naga issue at UN contains factual errors: NNC
Morung Express | Dimapur, May 1 (MExN):
The Naga National Council (NNC) has issued a rejoinder on the NPMHR presentation at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) in New York recently.
The bone of contention, according to NNC joint secretary, Acuyi Vadeo was the statement where the secretary general of NPMHR stated that the “Government of India entered into a 1st ceasefire agreement with the leaders of the Naga National movement in 1964.”
This, the NNC said, was not a factual presentation of the historical truth on Nagaland.
