NNC wants AFSPA repealed
Morung Express | Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
The NNC says that the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act of 1958 should be repealed immediately “for final political talk of settlement once for all in the region.”
The Government of India’s “military solution of occupation” has failed, the NNC said in a note received here today. A final political solution is a must without the use of force in the interest of peace in the South East Asian region, the note explained.
“Therefore, this draconian Act should be repealed immediately in the first place for final political talk of settlement once for all in the region.”
