NIA attaches property of rebel group

The NIA on Wednesday attached the property of Neera Tamang, a resident of Kurseong sub-division and a member of the Kanglei Yaol Kanba Lup (KYKL) militant outfit based in Manipur. She had bought a three-storey building on a plot of 27 poles situated at Upper Dumaram Busty in Kurseong. The cost of the property has not been ascertained.
According to NIA, the KYKL outfit, which is one of the 12 stronger militants group of the total of 49 operating from Manipur alone, has an annual budget of Rs 30 crore as found from the bank statement.
