NE States yet to reach desired level of development

Though the country had attained freedom from the clutches of the colonial rulers way back in 1947, yet due to the smaller amounts of financial resources being made available to the North East region, the region is still waiting for the arrival of the post-colonial developments to the desired level.
This was the observation made by noted academician and Dean (Academic) of KK Handiqui State Open University Prof Arupjyoti Choudhury while delivering the keynote address at the Annual Regional Convention of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA)
