NE Scholar, published by NE Brothers Entertainments Pvt Ltd., is a quarterly Multi-Colour Educational and innovative Magazine which features various articles in different subjects written by various experts from North East India. The magazine endeavours to empower youth by building their knowledge capabilities.
As stated by the Chief Editor of the magazine, Dr. R.K. Nimai Singh, Former Commissioner of Art and Culture, Govt of Manipur, many cultural heritages seem to fade away as one culture apes another's and thus the valued knowledge and experience of our ancestors gets substituted by newer things. NE Scholar strongly attempts to bridge the very gap of knowledge among the young readers.
The magazine is a mixture of articles in different subjects such as nature, heritage, science & tech, sports & adventure, etc., which gives comprehensive knowledge and information to the readers about the topics.
The magazine not only covers the fusion of articles which are beyond school and college textbooks but also covers informative pictures which make it easier for the readers to understand and relate easily.
Thus, NE Scholar is successful in imparting knowledge beyond school and textbooks and filling new and easy method of reading habits to the students. The magazine also makes an effort to guide the youth in making the right career choice through the Delhi based certified career guidance specialist- Oinam Anuradha's article understanding comprehensive system of career guidance & counselling. An inspiring article of Dr. Ngangbam Shantilumar Meetei,INBA, Mr. World, in which he shared his personal dreams and achievements motivates the reader to dream bigger.
The magazine has got an interesting puzzle corner, scientific findings and also features new mobile apps which not only provide information but are also quite innovative and exciting.
Hidden Mathematics, an article about mathematics used in our day to day life written by Pheiroijam Suranjoy Singh is very fascinating which teaches the readers in simple laymen term that mathematics is not a rocket science but something we apply it in our day to day activities.
Partially or impartially, the younger generation has lost the trend of implicating old traditions which has now become a severe challenge for them to imply. They might not have seen the beautiful bird, Nganu Thangong (Brahminy shelduck) or heard the legendary folklore of the bird.
Nganu Thangong, which we fear might become extinct someday from Manipur as people lack concern about the bird, is a legendary bird which symbolises eternal love and marital fidelity. With an attempt to give insight into the migratory bird, R.K. Birjit Singh penned down in his article, Migratory waterbirds of Loktak Ramsar.
The article of Nature and its elements in Folk art traditions of Manipur by Salam Rajesh enlightens the readers of the various traditional art forms of Manipur. In his article, Rajesh beautifully described the elements of nature in folk traditions and its influences in folk art performances.
The inventive magazine, NE Scholar, explores about the beautiful culture and tradition of the state. The blend of articles takes the readers to a tour of imperative knowledge and information. The magazine will be quite useful for the younger generation of the state in gaining valued knowledge and understanding.
NE Scholar is, undeniably, a very good innovation of NE Brothers and will be successful in imparting knowledge to the younger generation.
