NE-SEA connectivity: India, Thailand to expedite trilateral highway work

India and Thailand have agreed to expedite the completion of the proposed trilateral highway that is likely to boost communication linkage between the North Eastern States and South East Asia.
A joint statement signed at the end of bilateral visit by Prime Minister of Thailand General Prayut Chan-o-cha, who is accompanied by his spouse Associate Professor Naraporn Chan-o-cha said that both the Prime Ministers noted with satisfaction the progress in regional connectivity efforts such as the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway and agreed to expedite the completion of the project as well as to expedite negotiations on the India-Myanmar-Thailand Motor Vehicles Agreement.
