NESO lambasts Delhi on plight

The North East Students' Organisation (Neso) today lambasted successive governments in New Delhi for not paying heed to Irom Sharmila's "democratic and non-violent struggle" even after 16 years and expressed dismay that such an attitude would only encourage people of the region to resort to violence
"Sharmila's struggle for almost 16 years was a very good example of a struggle through non-violent means," Neso chairman Samuel B. Jyrwa told reporters here.
