My First Date
Goiroina Majnu *
'twas late cold winter night i got her text-
curious was i as usual to text her back.
we chat away the night still we're left wanting;
hence a date is fixed up for the valentine day.
as a deer longed for the stream, i waited panting!
the days seemed so long and nights so tormenting.
'twas early 14 february 2012 morn i got her text-
"this year's valentine day is cancelled,
the arithmetic has it to say 14- 2-12= 0"
"then, we'll have supra valentine day, cutie,"
i insisted whimsically... and picked her up.
shyly she took my hand as we drive down the street.
'twas beneath a tree by the roadside where we sat,
i behold the beauty no human eyes could fathom-
sparkling doe-like eyes, rosy lips, a matching mole on her nosetip,
she's so beautiful... the gentle blowing breeze dazzles her hair,
"this is my first", she smiled as we hugged and kissed.
it seemed just a minute but folk were seen returning home...
