Motor rally to promote trade
The Telegraph | Pullock Dutta | Jorhat , Nov 7
Around 70 motorists, mostly businessmen, will take part in the India-Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Motor Rally which will be flagged off from New Delhi on November 15. The rally has been organised to promote direct physical connectivity between the Northeast, Myanmar and Thailand and to promote and harness the true trade potential of India through the region.
The rally is scheduled to reach Kaziranga National Park on November 20 and after a night halt at the home of one-horned rhinos, will proceed towards Myanmar via Moreh border in Manipur on National Highway 39. It will have at least nine participants from the northeastern states and end in Bangkok in the last week of December.
