Modern Times
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
No moths are now attracted to bright light
Burning in the heart of the country at night.
The dance of love continued to reverberate
Through the old age and beyond.
Ah! That was in the good old days.
Romance is no longer about bees and flowers –
It is about two people
And an unwanted pregnancy.
A foetus is nothing
No chord joins the foetus
To the womb of the mother
And the heart of the father.
I mean the biological mother and father.
It can be destroyed in seconds
Nothing it is, nothing.
Modern times!
People in different worlds
And drug-tongued teenagers.
