Mizoram hails truce
- HPC-D agrees to conditional suspension of operations

The people of Mizoram hailed the signing of conditional suspension of operations between the government and Manipur-based outfit Hmar People's Convention (Democratic).
Mizoram's additional secretary for home Lalbiakzama today told The Telegraph that no agreement was signed officially but the HPC (D) leaders agreed to the government's proposal for conditional suspension of operation in order to celebrate Christmas and New Year in a peaceful manner. "The conditional suspension of operation came into effect from yesterday and it will remain in force till the New Year celebrations are over," he added.
