Nothing is more satisfying than leading your life on your own terms. And few have the guts to live in their own terms. Among the few, the "Young Dirrt" is considered one. Born as Zing Chongtham and known by his stage name "Young Dirrt", this Bangalore based young man is an independent rapper/singer/songwriter/composer who began his venture of making music (professionally) around 2009-10 when he first recorded the Soundtrack for the much talked about Manipuri film called, "Abir Khan".

He is one of the finest examples of "success is all about doing your dreams". Most people don't know what they want and they pursue the dreams which are being imposed upon them by the society, the media and ideas sold to them.

Zing Chongtham believes that people laugh at others for being different but they do not understand that it is the price they have to pay for creating rooms for further growth.

Like any other musicians, Young Dirrt also had few hiccups along the way. However, his belief in taking things "one day at a time" has gained momentum internationally. This rapper has managed to create a niche for himself among the hip hop community.

He has received awards like Winner, Vh1 Rap Battles, 2011, Bangalore; Best emerging artist 2014 - vibes Northeast; Best top 15 Music Videos - the Morung Express and SongDew Artist of the Month- May, 2014.

He got featured on 50 Cent's official website thisis50.com, opening for and touring with Gangis Khan aka Camoflauge, Canadian rapper previously affiliated with Raekwon (Wu Tang Clan), opening for Dj Mark Da Spot. (Justin Timberlake's official Dj)

His debut Music Video "Alive" doing the rounds on National Television and multiple international radio stations and also still being aired on 9xO currently.

This lad was born to Chongtham Arun K Singh and Haobam Bidya Devi on November 20, 1990 at Singjamei, Imphal-West. He is the third and last of three siblings. This young rapper calls his work the product of a "New School". Like any other son, he idolises his father for his honesty and hard work.

He has been inspired by legends like Tupac, B.I.G, Eminem, Big L, among others, and "New-school" and upcoming stars like Drake, Lil Wayne, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, among others too. Presently, DRAKE is one of his biggest inspirations, as he is motivated and inspired, not just by his music, but also by his lifestyle, ideas, confidence, personality etc.

Zing has deep appreciation of art and culture, loves painting, sketching, song-writing and designing.
