Maram Students' concerned by overloaded vehicles on NH
Morung Express | Tahamzam, December 23 (MExN):
The Maralui Karalimei Swijoikang (MKS) or the Maram Students’ Union has expressed concern over the menace of overloaded vehicles plying on the National Highway-2.
A press release from the MKS stating that “The Imphal-Maram/Mao (Dimapur) stretch of National Highway (NH) has borne the brunt of the unchecked overloaded trucks and tankers convoy that ply in hundreds along the stretch almost regularly,” lamented that the road repair work carried out in the past few months is deteriorating. The MKS pointing that the condition of the road deteriorating was due to “overloading” stated, “It remains to be seen whether the repaired stretches/portions can withstand few months more from now.”
