Manipur will be on railway map by Dec 2018: Gohain

Union minister of state for railways Rajen Gohain Tuesday stated affirmed that the Jiribam-Tupul railway line will be completed within the targeted period and further assured to put Manipur on the railway map of the country by December 2018.
The Union minister, who arrived at Imphal on Monday on his two-day visit in the state, flew back to New Delhi on Tuesday. During his visit, he inspected the progress of the railway line construction in Tamenglong district. Addressing a news conference before leaving Imphal today, he said that with 57.8 per cent of the Jiribam-Tupul section already completed, the remaining work was being targeted for completion within 2018.
