Manipur marks 54th years of passing AFSPA by Parliament
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Sept. 11:
Leaders of civil organizations in Manipur Tuesday marked the 54th year of passing of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) by the Parliament of India.
Singhajit said that one of the reasons behind the Centre’s adamant attitude was absent of political wills among the politicians of the northeastern states affected the Act in general and of the state in particular. He criticized politicians of the region having no vision only to get elected through money and muscle powers.
