- LDF to take on Congress, BJP in Assembly polls

A conglomerate of non-Congress and non-BJP parties in Manipur is set to take on the two parties in the upcoming Manipur Assembly elections slated for early next year.
The CPI, CPM, Janata Dal (United), Aam Aadmi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party have formed the Left Democratic Front (LDF) to wean away non-Congress and non-BJP votes and play a major role in government formation.
