Manipur cut off after bridge collapse on NH-37
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Mar 5 (NPN):
Manipur has been partially cut off from the rest of the country after a bridge along NH-37 was totally damaged in Tamenglong district on Sunday. NH-37 is the second lifeline of Manipur after NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapur) . Official reports said that a suspension bridge on a river along NH-37 at Nungdolan area of Tamenglong district collapsed while a loaded truck was crossing on Sunday morning, around 8.30 am.
Following the collapse of the bridge, hundreds of Imphal-bound loaded trucks, particularly transporting FCI goods were stranded beyond Nungdolan on Jiribam side since yesterday.
