3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Regional Manager- MCH is a mid-management level position in the organization responsible for ensuring overall technical and programmatic quality and growth of MAMTA’s maternal and child health (MCH) programs. The RM-MCH would be responsible for a team of professionals and the implementation team(s)/ partner(s) and work in close collaboration with the M&E team. S/he would report directly to the Project Team Leader of the theme for technical and administrative issues.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Implementing community based interventions on MCH;
(2) Leading and providing technical support and guidance to district and block level team in planning, implementing and reporting various project activities;
(3) Providing management support in preparing work plans, tracking progress of project activities as per plans through MIS, facilitating budgetary allocations to the implementation team(s), etc.;
(4) Representing the project at district authorities and at other stakeholders meetings;
(5) Establishing close interaction and coordination with the implementation team;
(6) Developing effective liaison with district health officials and other stakeholders;
(7) Coordinating and preparing periodic (monthly, quarterly) reports including MIS for project activities;
(8) Establishing coordination between implementation, monitoring and finance teams;
(9) Managing administrative and HR issues of the implementing team(s) as necessary;
(10) Ensuring regular reports are submitted from the MHIMC regional offices and/or implementing partners, including all relevant management information;
(11) Donor reporting.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Applicants must be a Post Graduate in Public Health Management/ Social Sciences/ Social Work/ Population Sciences or a related field, from a reputed institute.
Applicants are also expected to have an in-depth understanding of Indian public health system, Policy directives, program implementation of GOI and states specifically in MCH and its linkages with National and International goals.
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in the health sector with demonstrated ability in program/ project management and knowledge of MCH / RCH, NRHM, especially maternal and newborn care issues.
Skills and Attributes:
(1) Experience in donor reporting;
(2) Good documentation and communication skills in English;
(3) Experience of handling project site(s) and leading project team(s) independently;
(4) In depth experience in result based MIS monitoring and feeding the outcome in program implementation;
(5) Excellent computer skills especially handling MS office is essential.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation on a CTC basis is Rs. 5 to 7 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
