Mamata's help sought for raising voice against AFSPA

Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress on Monday extended its full support to 'Iron Lady' Irom Sharmila Chanu for her decade-long hunger strike demanding repeal of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act and urged party chief Mamata Banerjee to raise her voice on the issue.
"We are against the AFSPA and extend our full support to Sharmila Chanu for her long fight against this draconian act," Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress chairperson Ken Gangte told reporters after meeting Banerjee.
