As per this scheme, the selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.11,000/- for two years and a one time educational material allowance of Rs.5,000/-.
Eligibility: B.Tech. / B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with valid GATE score.

The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) sponsors upto 4 students per year for the M.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
AERB is an independent body of the Government of India which enforces safety provisions in nuclear power stations and other nuclear and radiation installations in India.
The selected candidates would be governed by the same terms and conditions as the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Graduate Fellowship Scheme (DGFS-2004).
As per this scheme, the selected candidates would receive a monthly stipend of Rs.11,000/- and a one time educational material allowance of Rs.5,000/- M.Tech course duration is of 2 years and an AERB selected candidate who joins M.Tech towards the end of July 2005, is expected to complete the M.Tech programme by July 2007.
AERB selected candidates after successful completion of M.Tech programme at the institute, would join a 10 week orientation course conducted at the
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Training School, Mumbai starting from September 1, 2007.
The selected candidates would be absorbed in the grade of Scientific Officer - C in the scale of Rs.8000-275-13500 with upto 5 increments depending on the
performance during M.Tech and the 10 week orientation course.
The total emoluments, at the beginning, inclusive of the 5 advance increments and all allowances (DA, CCA and HRA) would be around Rs.18,000/- per month (DA as per present rate) if posted in an 'A' class city. The candidates would have to execute a bond to serve AERB for a period of three years.

AERB selected candidates are likely to be placed in the Safety Research Institute of AERB at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Complex, Kalpakkam.
