Lover's Sleepless Night
Shongminthang Haokip *
My nights are sleepless
My days are restless
Simply and truly thinking over my life
Life; memories of you and me
Among those bevies of belle
Why you are so special to me?
wonder not you are the one
who you are to me
Your are my life; source of my happiness
The lost ribs bone of mine, bone of
Heart's contentment ever.
The clock strike three past
Birds perching on the tree awakes me
not from my bed but from my thinking
it's not other than your memories.
On my sleepless night
the sweetest memory was your eyes
Eyes of lovely you'd gazed
Whacks my heart
Though it heals my wounds
My memory is proud of storing
such a loving eyes of thee
No room for bitter memories to erase
I'm neither westerners nor night shift workers
just because of you, my dear
Indeed, the memories you'd created on my life
It's now time to awake
wake up and see how I cared for you
You're my sleeping beauty
Because I pray for your sound sleep
From the bottom of my heart
"May my sleepless night be
your sound sleep night"
I wished.
