Live with the Pain
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
The old tragedy has struck me now
With the full force of the moment
Which is history in the making.
The purpose of life!
A lost soul
In the wilderness of life!
Death is not the answer to it.
To dust many of my friends have gone
And they are not coming back.
Oh! I miss much.
One day I will also go
And die an unsatisfactory death
But the missing link does not fall into place;
The cosy chit-chat is not all, not all.
Before the cloud of dust settles over a quiet area
A blue rose blooms late into the autumn
Among green leaves.
The rose blooms in the green courtyard
And the bamboo grove nearby
is windswept and breathing.
Why are people dying?
Do not die.
Oh! Do not die yet.
Come back!
Oh, come back!
Death is not all, not all.
Birth is not important,
Death is not important,
Birth and death are not important.
Life is not important,
Nothing is important
What is important is
What is important is...
I do not know who has the moony eyes –
The moon in the moonlit sky
Or the loony looking at the lone moon.
Childhood dreams, money making, social life
Childhood dreams, money making, social life.
I did not intend to be
What I am now –
I just drifted into it.
Life!
There is no sense of purpose.
