Life and Me
Debina Sanasam *
Life, never had I seen
As a friend of mine
Each and every time
I picked myself up
Assemble pieces by pieces
I was pushed down
Time and again
And laughing by the sideline
Was my life, mocking at me
" Is this all you got? "
I fight back my tears
And strengthened my belief
I pulled myself up
And sneer back at life
" It was not over "
It was always a war
Between life and me
But when others smirk at me
That I can't do it
I found my life, standing beside me
And glaring at them
" For it was not over "
And at dusk, when life and me
Watch the sunset together
I asked it " Why do you always pushed me down?"
The answer was genuine and unhesitant
" Because I know you will come back stronger "
