Letter to Narendra Modi: NSCN (IM) Peace Accord
B. Angousna Sharma
Honourable Prime Minister of India Sir,
It is rather astonished with the act of the accord signed in between Govt. of India and NSCN (!M) representatives, held at 7RCR, New Delhi on 03.08.2015 in absence of representatives of Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh whose territories are involved under the proposed single umbrella Administration for the Naga settled areas of NSCN (IM), meant to be Greater Nagaland. Also the agenda of the accord has included the same as cited in the five points of the NSCN (IM), which found to be alienating the public opinion but doubt of promoting a communal riot in the region, if it been signed with the approval of the five-point agenda of NSCN (IM). The agenda would have been necessary to public for removal of doubt exist in the peoples of the region.
Futherence, Manipur is the State of Extreme East of the country, wherein the people are totally restless due to lack of care of the centre; as well, the state Government is incapable to hold the situation with the small issues; turning huge fire due to improper administration; rather the State is in trouble without leadership; either in the Government or in opposition, irrespective of parties in the state.
Therefore, act of the central Government with the NSCN (IM), by signing an accord in absence of representative of Manipur is found to be unwanted deal with the people of Manipur; hence negligence of Manipur is loud and clear.
The future of Manipur should not dilute with the wrong commitments of the Delhi Administration; by imposing Presidential Rule in the State, as the situation prevailing in Manipur is deserve to act upon. But, before declaration of the accord with the agenda submitted by the NSCN (IM) signed in between the two parties imposition of PR may reason to establish a battlefield in Imphal. The consequences would be hell on the earth.
Therefore, Honourable Prime Minister is requesting to act the Accord after noticing the contents of the agenda to the peoples of the three States; so that discussion of accord agenda could take part for peaceful Co- existence in the East States of the country. Otherwise there may still exist, turmoil with the existing administration, and violent acts of insurgents cannot root out till the accord is found to be congenial.
Thanks, and welcome for the Peace Accord which believe to have been constructive, optimistic , unhidden contents for the peoples of the East Bharatvarsha, for future generational co-existence.
