Kuki Movement for Human Rights submits memo: demands justice before agreement with NSCN (I-M)
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Nov 22
Kuki Movement for Human Rights (KMHR) Wednesday drew the attention of the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to settle the crimes committed by the NSCN (I-M) in a proper court of law of the country before any kind of agreement is made with the outfit engaging in the peace talk with the Government of India.
The memorandum reminded the home minister on the stand of the Kukis to the Government of India that before any agreement is signed with the NSCN (I-M), the issue of the October 22, 1992 ‘quit notice’ on Kukis with dire consequences should be addressed.
KMHR also pointed to the meeting between Kuki representatives and Union Home minister P Chidambaram at Imphal on December 15, 2010 where they appealed for justice for the Kukis but added, nothing has been done till today.
