Khurshid for consensus on AFSPA

Against the backdrop of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah pushing for revocation of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, Law Minister Salman Khurshid today said the Home Minister and the Defence Minister should “concur” on the issue before a final call is taken on the ticklish issue.
“The Home Minister and the Defence Minister should first concur on the issue and the Army should be taken on board before a final decision can be taken (on AFSPA withdrawal),” he told reporters here.
