Jackson Khumukcham, graduated from Visva Bharati Santiniketan University is born on 29th March 1989 and is the second son of Huirem Brajalata and Khumukcham Chittaranjan of Yaiskul Janmasthan,Imphal.
He started learning the “Nat Sankritan” professionally from Janmasthan Ojha Shree Ningthoujam Shyamchand Singh.
When he was 10 years old, started performing as part of pala in marriage and shradha ceremonies. In 2000, Jackson got the Balshree Award in the field of Creative Performing Arts.

Now he is singing “Bangal Baul” professionally. He is the first Manipuri to learn Baul music professionally under Guru Shree Ganesh Das Baul from Sriniketan, Moldanga, Bolpur since 2007.
He performed in many festival and occasion; like Santiniketan Pauch Mela, Cultural festival of EZCC, and villages of West Bengal like Ballavpur, Suri, Mohidapur, Nabadwip, Surul etc.
Currently he is a Research Scholar at Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai.
