JDDC organized Felicitation function
On the declaration of Jiribam as a full-fledged revenue district at behind schedule hours of December 8, 2016 by the present Okram Ibobi Singh led Manipur government along with the creation of 6 other district of Manipur by bifurcating the erstwhile 9 district of Manipur.
Today the Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC), Jiribam organized a felicitation function at the playground of Jiribam Higher Sec. School on the grand success of their long pending demand of Jiribam District.
The functional chief guest L. Ranjit Kumar Singh, ZEO, Jiribam lighted the candle at the onset of the programmed. Thereafter, Y. Sanjiv Singh, President of AMSU, District Committee, Jiribam delivered the welcome address which was followed by the keynotes address delivered by W. Dinesh Meitei, Convener of JDDC.
Among the invitees, H. Ongbi Mema Devi, President of JDDC; M. Premchandra, Former Convener of JDDC; L. Jamini Kanta, Asst. Prof. Jiri College; H. Joy Kumar, Asst. Prof. Jiri College delivered valuable speech.

In the speech they said Jiribam District is geographically small area as compared with other district of Manipur whereas in Jiribam has varied communities peoples living together and to develop Jiribam we need to stand unitedly together to make Jiribam a well peace and harmonious district.
They also opined that for monitoring development of Jiribam district we need to reformed JDDC to alternative monitoring committee.
The felicitation function was attended by Th. Kumba Luwang, Advisor of JDDC; L. Ranjit Kumar Singh, ZEO, Jiribam; Md. Badain, Social worker; Poushing Kamei; Sukumar Chanda; Ch. Komol Singh and Md. Foiz Ahmed as a Chief Guest, President and Guests of honors respectively.
