India In A Day: Is Manipur Shooting For Ridley Scott's Next Blockbuster?
Date : 10th of October, 2015
I am writing to you today as I'm working with Scott Free Productions, Ridley Scott's film & TV production company on his new crowdsourced documentary on India called India In A Day (website - https://indiainaday.withgoogle.com/en/)
The concept of the documentary is simple. On Saturday, the 10th of October, 2015, anyone in India would have the chance to grab their cameras and shoot their lives or somebody else’s life and let the world know what India is all about.
We are not looking for the next hi-tech blockbuster. We want honest, personal material that provides a real insight into people's life and the life of India. Tell us the story of Manipur. The day to day life of its people, their aspirations and their problems. How has Manipur changed over the years? We are looking for completely raw, unedited footage.
If you find this interesting, I strongly recommend you to watch Life In A Day, the first film in this series of crowdsourced films to get a better idea of what we're looking for.
If you have any questions or want ANY HELP with ideas on what or how you can shoot, please write to us at filmindiainaday(AT)gmail(doT)com
or follow our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/indiainaday
We would love to hear from you!
Happy filming,
Arunesh Karkun
