In the Role of the Creator
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
Yours is a familiar face
Yet it is a complete mystery to me.
We touch each other intimately
Yet I can feel the heat
Of the muscular and chubby thighs
Locked in a loveless marriage.
How the sensitive skins burn with embarrassment!
Sweet memories!
I do not know
What became of the young man
Who spent many wakeful nights
Dreaming about you.
Much to my surprise,
Here I am
Wide awake to the fairness of life
Simply awestruck by your beauty.
I never knew you were beautiful.
If I was in charge
I would do things differently.
A place with no jail
No hospital no cemetery!
A place where old people
Like snake
Sheds its skin
And start all over again
And gaze in admiration
Before I drown my loneliness
For the place does not look different.
