The Heart of the Matter
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
In the Heady Days of Sky
A kite
Life is,
Flying away in the wind
Its string snapped.
The wavering tail moves clumsily
Like a snake moving along
The tarmacked road.
Was the frame weak?
The wind strong?
Or the kite naughty?
It appears the string could not hold.
Where it falls –
Onto the ground?
Into the water?
Or will it be in the safe hands
Of a child who still loves toys?
How long i live
Why i am here
Who i am
Is my dialogue with other actors
Of the play ok?
Do we have a director?
If we do, where is he?
Upstairs?
The purpose and meaning of life is
Oh! lost on me.
Chaos and the darkness!
As in the beginning.
My mind is full of
Rubbish –
Ego promotion riches
Pleasure attachment.
I am an unreadable book;
Who will read this book this trash?
It tells a story that ends in death
And a story that ends in death is
A story that is not finished yet.
