I'm indeed afraid to rule
Poireinganba Ningomba *
Peace was here once for a while;
Love and affection between them,
Respect and regard for one another,
The best family, I used to believe.
But things have changed now, indeed fast;
A single spark from an unknown source,
Has set their hearts and souls ablaze
And the minds are filled with venomous thoughts
Intolerance and hatred rule the place,
That love and affection washed away,
That regard for one another has sunk,
In that thin air of fine sweet memories!
I was happy once for a while,
When that peaceful moment exist
I was glad I'd the privilege,
To rule my rule till my death!
But, in this present scenario
That hatred and intolerance between them,
Will surely stems in the young minds,
And the chaos will go on and never end.
From generation to generation,
It will pass on and spread out like forest fire,
I believe, the flame will be vast and furious,
And I'm indeed afraid to rule!
