I'm Moving House
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Padmakumar *
This house is old,
Discoloured and moth-eaten,
Not fit to live in,
I'm moving house.
I've been living here for a long time,
Away I will go abandoning it –
The last act
Of this birth,
If I were to be reborn
The bond between you and I
Would be beyond me;
When this sensation rushes in
My whole being is turned inside out
And I feel genuinely sorry.
